The basic reach truck utilizes an out rigging apparatus installed on the front of the truck. A set of telescoping forks that travel up and down are mounted to the out rigging. A hydraulic setup which permits the worker to grab and reposition the cargo over the outriggers is also included in the forks. This design offers a more level balance of the weight and allows for easier maneuvering amid the warehouse shelves and narrow aisles.
After arriving at the particular shelves intended for the pallet, the hydraulics permit the forks to swing and slide the pallet into position.
